From our Principal
It is with great pride that I welcome you to our vibrant, inclusive and faith-filled school community in the bayside.

At Sacred Heart, we are deeply committed to nurturing the whole child academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually in an environment that values authentic relationships, connection and compassion.

Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to ensure that every student is known, challenged and supported. With a strong focus on evidence-based teaching practices, including explicit instruction and a structured literacy approach from Prep to Year 6, our learning programs are designed to engage students deeply and empower them to reach their full potential.

In 2025, we proudly unveiled a $5.2 million refurbishment of our facilities. These contemporary learning environments include spacious, light-filled classrooms, a state-of-the-art STEM space, dedicated intervention spaces and a spacious and thoughtfully designed corridor creating additional learning areas. These are more than just buildings; they reflect our belief in the transformative power of education and the importance of nurturing student wellbeing, engagement and creativity.

Beyond the classroom, Sacred Heart offers a broad range of co-curricular opportunities, including interschool sport, music, clubs, languages, instrumental lessons and a strong student leadership program. Our partnerships with local kindergartens, secondary schools and community organisations further enrich our studentsโ€™ learning experiences and foster a strong sense of belonging.

We are immensely proud of the culture we have built, one where students feel safe, supported and inspired to become the best version of themselves.

I warmly invite you to visit our school, meet our passionate staff and experience firsthand what makes Sacred Heart such a special place to learn, grow and belong.

Regards,

Simon Collis

    Life at Sacred Heart

Life at Sacred Heart goes far beyond academic success. We are a vibrant, connected community where students and families feel a true sense of belonging. Our active Parents and Friends (P&F) Committee plays a vital role in school life, organising regular social events and successful fundraising initiatives that bring our community together and enrich the experiences of our students.

Our strong partnership with the local parish is at the heart of who we are, with students supported through a full Sacramental program that nurtures their spiritual growth. Sacred Heart is also a proud sporting school, with many achievements to celebrate and a culture that encourages participation, teamwork and school spirit.

We value the arts and provide students with rich opportunities to perform, create and express themselves through music, drama and visual art. At Sacred Heart, every child is supported to shineโ€”whether on the stage, the sports field or in the classroom.
